REBEL Pi Wins Silver at the London Wine Competition

REBEL Pi Wins Silver at the London Wine Competition

REBEL Pi is delighted to take the silver medal in this year's exceptionally competitive London Wine Competition, the only medal awarded to an Ice Wine brand in the entire competition. Having only launched in October 2018, this is the second medal (see winner of the International Wine Competition) in less than 6 months which is a strong start for what the future holds of this exceptional Ice Wine.

The London Wine Competition recognises, rewards and helps promote wine brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific wine drinker. For any wine brand to earn its place on a retailer’s shelf or a restaurant’s wine list - and then vitally stay there - they need to be marketable and consumer driven and not just produced in the general hope it can find enough people willing to sell and buy it.

The London Wine Competition singles out and shines the spotlight on those wine brands that consumers really want to buy and have a clear market value for trade buyers.

The competition judges each wine in three key areas:

1. Quality

2. Value for money

3. What they look like

The prestigious judging panel included Michael Raebel, Head Sommelier at Rosewood Hotel London, Greg Sherwood, Master of Wine & Fine Wine Buyer at Handford Wines, and Matteo Furlan, Deputy Head Sommelier of The Ritz London amongst other driving forces within the industry.
